Barnsley Museums Youtube

Barnsley Museums digital curator Michael Hardy introduces our new Barnsley Museums youtube channel, which features films and animations about our projects and collections. Read on for a taster of some of the highlights that are currently available to watch.

We now have a dedicated Youtube Channel featuring all our films and animations. We’ll be adding to it over coming months, but in the mean time, here is a small taster of some of the videos we already have online:

‘The Romans’ was one of the first temporary exhibitions at Experience in 2013. Here is a short animated video which featured in the exhibition.

We also have videos which showcase our collections. This one showcases some of our incredible archaeology collection, including prehistoric flints and polished stone axes, beautiful medieval tiles, objects from Barnsley’s important glass and pottery industries and more!

Take a peek behind the scenes look in the stores at Barnsley Archives, you maybe surprised by what you see….

You can also take a glimpse into some of our many projects. This one is from Barnsley Cares, a project that is working in with local communities and taking our museum collections to people who aren’t able to visit us.

This is just a taster of what we get up to! Check out the Barnsley Museums youtube channel to see more!
